Are you a registered psychologist or registered clinical social worker in Alberta looking for a supportive group practice to grown your career?  

At McKinney Psychology, we offer in person and virtual therapy services across Alberta, with a special focus on serving rural areas, Indigenous communities, Veterans and health care workers. 

We understand the challenges of agency work – high caseloads, no choice in clients, limited flexibility in schedules and burnout.  We also know that solo private practice can feel isolating, with inconsistent referrals and heavy administrative work.  

That is why our group private practice model gives you the best of both worlds.  

We are always looking for the right professionals to be a part of our incredible team.  We are currently prioritizing Registered Psychologists and Registered Clinical Social Workers, but welcome other mental health professionals to apply.

You have the flexibility to offer online counselling across Alberta or in person sessions in Ponoka

Supervised Practicum & Internship Opportunities

Are you a graduate student seeking a supportive and enriching practicum or internship experience?

At McKinney Psychology, we welcome applications from students in counselling psychology, clinical psychology, and social work programs. We are proud to be approved supervisors for Yorkville University, the Concordia University PsyD program, and several other accredited institutions.

Located in Ponoka, Alberta, our clinic offers hands-on experience in a collaborative, trauma-informed setting serving rural, Indigenous, and agricultural populations. Interns gain valuable exposure to therapeutic modalities including CBT, trauma therapy, and culturally sensitive care. With a strong emphasis on clinical supervision and mentorship, we are committed to helping emerging professionals grow into confident, ethical, and compassionate clinicians.
