Counselling Psychology Intern

Nicole Philpot is a Master of Counselling Psychology intern completing her graduate training through Athabasca University and providing services at McKinney Psychology under clinical supervision.

She supports youth, and adults across Alberta using a trauma-informed, client-centred approach.

Nicole brings extensive experience from post-secondary counselling services, school divisions, family support programs, and community-based mental health settings.

Her clinical interests include complex trauma, neurodiversity-affirming care, family systems, gender-affirming counselling, and support for individuals impacted by violence and high-conflict situations. 

She is known for her calm, respectful presence and commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel heard and supported.

Nicole offers counselling at a reduced rate to ensure quality counselling is accessible for all.
